Russ is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Jackie, his brother Joe and his sister Angie Piazza. He is survived by his brothers; John and Mario Ferrante, sister; Millie Portale, his son; Russell Keith Ferrante (Gerry Puhara), daughter; Deanna Smith (Dennis Smith), 3 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
